Stipe (Stem): Thick, long stems (up to 6.5cm tall) with light brown to caramel colour. Smooth and can exhibit some discolouration or bruising.
Spores: Rhomboid shape
This mushroom can grow sclerotia, which are compact growths in the mycelium that store nutrients. This growth formation occurs as an evolutionary adaptation to extreme temperatures.
Potency
The Koh Samui mushroom is high in compounds like psilocybin and psilocin, with small amounts of baeocystin and norbaeocystin.
